World Series Game 1
The Dodgers' sweep guaranteed them a full week off before the World Series.
Dave Roberts can properly set his rotation of Blake Snell, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow and Shohei Ohtani for the Fall Classic.
Each of the Dodgers' four starters struck out at least seven batters and lasted at least 5.2 innings against the Brewers. Ohtani and Snell each struck out 10 in their appearances.
Los Angeles' power arms will probably be effective against either ALCS participant, but the Mariners' strikeout rate is much higher than the Blue Jays' punchout rate.
Both the Mariners and Blue Jays could compete with the Dodgers when it comes to starting pitching. The Mariners could add Bryan Woo to their rotation to go along with Logan Gilbert, George Kirby, Luis Castillo and Bryce Miller.
Toronto's mix of Kevin Gausman, Trey Yesavage, Shane Bieber and Max Scherzer could give thee Dodgers a run on the mound as well.
Each AL lineup has some pop in it as well. The Blue Jays can benefit from George Springer's World Series experience and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s hot bat, while the Mariners could go home run-for-home-run with its Cal Raleigh-led offense.
However, the Dodgers should be the World Series favorite because of the manner in which they won the NLCS.
Additionally, the Dodgers went 5-1 in the regular season against the Mariners and Blue Jays. Both of those series happened in the second half of the campaign.
