Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups Highlighted by Kimani Vidal, Kayshon Boutte, Bam Knight

Zach BuckleyOct 13, 2025

The farther the NFL pushes into the 2025 season, the trickier it becomes for fantasy football managers to navigate.

Bye weeks enter the mix, injury issues keep popping up and some players just never live up to their preseason hype.

For any number of reasons, you might find yourself with multiple holes in your roster. The waiver wire is almost always the place to look for relief.

You just have to know where to look for it, and that's what we're helping with as we're highlighting three of our favorite waiver-wire targets (rostered in fewer than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues, per FantasyPros) for Week 7.

Kayshon Boutte, WR, New England Patriots (8% Rostered)

Patriots quarterback Drake Maye is knee-deep in a sophomore leap, and Boutte is quickly becoming one of the bigger beneficiaries of this rise.

The third-year pass-catcher isn't quite the favorite target of Maye's, but Boutte might challenge for that role if he remains this reliable. Of the 23 passes sent his direction so far, 18 have resulted in completions spanning 301 yards and featuring three scores.

Things have been a little erratic in terms of game-to-game usage, but when the Pats have looked to involve him, great things have happened. He's had five-plus targets twice this season. In those contests, he's had 11 receptions on 13 targets for 196 yards and two touchdowns.

Sunday may have been his strongest showing yet (five catches on five targets for 93 yards and two scores), but maybe the key word there is yet. Boutte is doing everything in his power to ensure he'll get even more attention from one of the league's rising stars at quarterback.

Kimani Vidal, RB, Los Angeles Chargers (27% Rostered)

Opportunity is loudly knocking in L.A., where Najee Harris is out for the season and Omarion Hampton is on injured reserve.

Vidal just answered it in the most encouraging way possible.

Tasked with a sizable workload for the first time in his career, he did everything he could to ensure he'll start to see more of the same. He racked up 18 rushes and three receptions (on four targets) and turned those touches into 138 scrimmage yards and a score.

Assuming that keeps him an RB1 role until Hampton returns, Vidal could have some huge stat lines ahead.

Zonovan 'Bam' Knight, RB, Arizona Cardinals (1% Rostered)

Arizona has another running back room that's been ripped apart by injuries. James Conner was lost to a season-ending foot injury, and Trey Benson landed on injured reserve with a knee injury.

Michael Carter got the first crack at handling a featured role in their absence, but Knight got the nod on Sunday and may have done enough to stick in this spot.

His 12 touches (11 carries and one catch) yielded 54 scrimmage yards, and he scored a touchdown for the second consecutive week. Carter did enough to keep himself in the mix (64 scrimmage yards on 11 touches), but Knight should at least see similar opportunities while getting the goal-line work.

This backfield could be a bit messy, but Knight's usage, particularly in the red zone, should warrant weekly Flex consideration until Benson returns.
