Mr. Olympia 2025 Results, Final Prize Money, Highlights for Derek Lunsford & Top Stars

Kristopher KnoxOct 13, 2025

Derek Lunsford is back on top of the bodybuilding world after winning the 2025 Mr. Olympia and capping an incredible year of competition.

Lunsford, who won the 2023 Olympia before dropping to third place in 2024, also won this year's Pittsburgh Pro and Arnold Classic. Winning the Olympia and the Arnold earned him more than $1 million in prize money.

While Lunsford has been in championship form since the early spring, becoming a two-time Mr. Olympia wasn't easy. This year's field was one of the deepest and most talented we've seen in recent memory. While past Olympia opens have featured only a couple of legitimate challengers, several competitors came in with the size and conditioning needed to knock off reigning champ Samson Dauda.

While is was, by no means, a total domination, Lunsford did enough to reclaim his title.

Recap and Highlights and Reaction

Lunsford's surge back to the top of the proverbial mountain was one of the top storylines entering Olympia weekend. Of course, it was far from the only one.

Dauda was looking to become the first back-to-back champion since Mamdouh Elssbiay won in 2020 and 2021. However, he only finished fourth and his placement stunned many.

This year's Olympia also marked a big step for ascending star Andrew Jacked. The Nigerian star first earned his IFBB Pro card in 2022 and jumped into the global spotlight with last year's fifth-place finish at the Olympia.

Jacked then took third at the 2025 Arnold Classic before winning the FIBO Pro and qualifying for another trip to the Olympia.

Nothing is guaranteed in this sport, obviously, but Jacked may be close to making his own run.

Some fans may believe that Jacked deserved a higher placement, and some shared the same sentiment about runner-up Hadi Choopan. The 2022 Mr. Olympia has now finished second in three straight Olympias and easily could have won any of them.

Choopan was in marvelous shape on Saturday and was clearly disappointed that his efforts didn't pay off.

While Choopan didn't claim a second Sandow Trophy, though, he was given the people's choice award via fan vote. It's clear that Choopan was one of the most popular bodybuilders in this year's competition.

With four top-two finishes over the past four years, Choopan is also one of the most consistent competitors in the sport.

Lunsford has claimed his second Sandow and was one of several champions to be crowned over Olympia weekend.
