Mr. Olympia 2025 Results, Prize Money Payouts for Winner and Top Contestants

Kristopher KnoxOct 12, 2025

For the fourth year in a row, the Mr. Olympia failed to feature a repeat champion. However, American pro Derek Lunsford did become a two-time Mr. Olympia after defeating one of the deepest fields we've seen in recent memory.

Mamdouh Elssbiay, known simply as "Big Ramy," was the last back-to-back winner, being crowned Mr. Olympia in both 2020 and 2021.

While many bodybuilding fans may miss the lengthy dominance of stars like Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler and Phil Heath, the unpredictability of these last few years has actually been quite exciting. This year's field had multiple contenders with the combination of size and conditioning needed to knock off reigning champion Samson Dauda.

In the end, it was Lunsford who won the weekend's biggest prize and who completed the rare "Triple Crown" feat of winning the Pittsburgh Pro, the Arnold Classic and the Olympia Open.

2025 Mr. Olympia Results and Prize Payout

  1. Derek Lunsford, $600,000
  2. Hadi Choopan, $200,000
  3. Andrew Jacked, $100,000
  4. Samson Dauda, $40,000
  5. Martin Fitzwater, $30,000

Lunsford's return to the top of the bodybuilding world has been a fun journey to follow. After winning the '23 Olympia, Lunsford dropped to third place the following year. However, it became clear early this season that he was storming back into elite form.

The win at the Arnold Classic—in Lunsford's first entry at the event—provided a ton of momentum ahead of the Olympia.

"First time I ever went to a big bodybuilding event like this, it was this, back in 2015," Lunsford said after his Arnold Classic win (h/t Scott 'Future' Felstead of Muscle & Fitness). "Fast forward ten years later, 2025, being the Arnold Classic Open (and a former) Mr Olympia champion, oof boy that's crazy to think."

Lunsford can now call himself a two-time Mr. Olympia, but earning the title wasn't particularly easy. Hadi Choopan came excruciatingly close to winning for the third-straight year.

Choopen, who was named Mr. Olympia in 2022, has now finished second in three straight competitions.

Rising star Andrew Jacked, who only earned his IFBB Pro card in 2022, finished third. He also finished third at the Arnold Classic, while Dauda finished second in that competition before dropping to a disappointing fourth on Saturday night.

28-year-old Martin Fitzwater, who leaped onto the global stage with last year's fourth-place Olympia finish, rounded out the top five. Nick Walker finished sixth, while 2019 Mr. Olympia Brandon Curry finished seventh.
