Jerry Jones Calls Dak Prescott 'Best Leader' He's Been Around During Cowboys Tenure
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had high praise for Dak Prescott's leadership ability.
"He's the best leader that I think I've ever been around," Jones said during a radio appearance on 105.3 The Fan (h/t ESPN's Todd Archer). "That's probably enhanced by the fact he's the quarterback."

Prescott clearly has the respect of his teammates, as they voted him as one of two offensive captains for the Cowboys heading into the regular season.
The veteran passer discussed the importance of operating as a leader in the locker room during the offseason.
"It's important for me to be a leader," Prescott said in May, per Tommy Yarrish of the team's official website. "I think that I'm very intentional with certain ways that I do it, but I also think that it can't be forced. Sometimes when guys just try things to try them to be a leader, they're unnatural."
"There's different times you're reaching out to different people, whether it's them getting drafted or whether it's welcoming a baby into their family or getting engaged, it's important for me to know the person and not just the guy in the football number," he added.
The 32-year-old is off to a strong start this season, completing 71.3 percent of his throws for 1,356 yards and 10 touchdowns compared to three interceptions. His 76.6 QBR ranks No. 3 among 33 qualified quarterbacks in 2025, via ESPN.
The Cowboys currently sit at 2-2-1, attempting to return to the postseason picture after missing the playoffs last year.
