Eagles Anger NFL Fans as 4-Straight Tush Push Plays vs. Giants Lead to Jalen Hurts TD
The Philadelphia Eagles brought out the team's signature play early against the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football.
On third down and one yard to gain at the Giants' three-yard line in the second quarter, the Eagles called the tush push on four consecutive plays before Jalen Hurts found the end zone for a one-yard score.

The repeated use of the play was called out by several fans as well as Green Bay Packers star Micah Parsons.
With the touchdown, Philadelphia took a 17-13 lead over New York.
The tush push has generated mixed reactions around the league, with Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton calling it "the safest play in football."
Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris wasn't a fan, though.
"There's just no other play in our game where you can absolutely get behind somebody and push them," Morris said, per ESPN's Stephen Holder. "I never really understood it, why that was legal. So, I've definitely been one of those guys voting against that."
The Packers introduced a proposal to prohibit the play after the 2024 season, although it was rejected in May after it only received 22 of the 24 votes necessary from owners to implement the ban.
The NFL also sent a message to officials to call the play "tight" moving forward after Week 2 this season, with controversy surrounding Philadelphia's offensive lineman possibly lining up offsides and getting an early jump before the snap.
It isn't difficult to imagine the controversy continuing to increase after Thursday's short-yardage touchdown.
