The Chicago Cubs avoided elimination with a Game 3, 4-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday.

Forcing a National League Division Series Game 4 after an 0-2 start, Pete Crow-Armstrong and the Cubs bounced back from an early Brewers run to secure the victory at home.

Crow-Armstrong had a standout Game 3, finishing 1-of-4 at the plate with two RBI.

Michael Busch added an RBI on a home run, while Kyle Tucker went 2-of-3 at the plate and Nico Hoerner finished 2-of-4.

Cubs ace Jameson Taillon pitched four innings, allowing four earned runs on five hits and three strikeouts.

As Crow-Armstrong and the Cubs avoided elimination Wednesday to force NLDS Game 4, fans were buzzing about the team's resilience and clutch performance.

Despite the Brewers striking first with a Sal Frelick sacrifice fly to bring in Christian Yelich for a 1-0 lead, the Cubs stormed back with a dominant opening frame.

At the top of the lineup, Busch launched a 377-foot homer, followed by a two-run single from Crow-Armstrong and an Ian Happ score on a wild pitch to give Chicago a 4-1 lead after the first inning.

Jake Bauers and the Brewers fought back, keeping the Cubs quiet through the remainder of the game on offense. Bauers drove in a run in the fourth and later crushed a solo homer in the seventh to pull Milwaukee within one.

The Cubs escaped a late jam in the top of the eighth when Brad Keller struck out Bauers with the bases loaded.

The team that comes out on top between the No. 4 Cubs and No. 1 Brewers will move on to play the winner of the No. 3 Los Angeles Dodgers vs. No. 2 Philadelphia Phillies series in the National League Championship Series. The Dodgers hold a 2-0 advantage in their matchup.

The NLDS will stay in Chicago for Game 4 on Thursday, with first pitch set for 9:08 p.m. ET.
