Week 6 Fantasy Football Rankings, Box Score Projections for Players with Top Matchups

Kristopher KnoxOct 9, 2025

The New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles kicked off Week 6 on Thursday night. For any managers who fell behind early, 14 games remain with which to play catch-up.

The trick, of course, will be to find the best matchups and exploit them. With several stars on the injury report—and the Houston Texans and Minnesota Vikings on bye—relying on the biggest names won't be enough.

Here, you'll find updated point-per-reception (PPR) rankings and box score projections for the top fantasy matchups of Week 6.

Quarterback

1 of 4
Commanders Chargers Football
Chargers QB Justin Herbert
  1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills: 225 passing yards, 2 TDs, 60 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD
  2. Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders: 230 passing yards, 2 TDs, 50 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD
  3. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs: 245 passing yards, 2 TDs, 30 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD
  4. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers: 300 passing yards, 2 TDs, 45 rushing yards
  5. Drake Maye, New England Patriots: 300 passing yards, 2 TDs, 35 rushing yards
  6. Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 290 passing yards, 2 TDs, 36 rushing yards
  7. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys: 300 passing yards, 2 TDs, 10 rushing yards
  8. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers: 280 passing yards, 2 TDs, 12 rushing yards
  9. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears: 275 passing yards, 2 TDs, 10 rushing yards
  10. Bo Nix, Denver Broncos: 273 passing yards, 2 TDs, 10 rushing yards
  11. Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts: 250 passing yards, 2 TDs, 11 rushing yards
  12. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams: 278 passing yards, 2 TDs

Matchup to Love: Justin Herbert at Miami Dolphins

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has cooled off a bit, following a hot start to the season. However, he should get plenty warm in South Beach this week against the Miami Dolphins.

For starters, the Dolphins have struggled defensively this season, allowing the third-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Secondly, the Chargers are likely to take a very pass-heavy approach.

Having already lost Najee Harris to a season-ending torn Achilles, the Chargers recently added rookie starter Omarion Hampton to injured reserve. Hampton (ankle) is expected to return this season, but L.A.'s makeshift backfield of Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal could struggle in the interim.

This should mean plenty of passing for Hebert, and possibly a fair amount of designed QB scrambles.

Running Back

Packers Cowboys Football
Packers RB Josh Jacobs
  1. Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts: 6 catches, 169 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
  2. Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons: 5 catches, 160 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
  3. Josh Jacobs, Green Bay Packers: 5 catches, 155 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
  4. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers: 6 catches, 140 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
  5. Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions: 5 catches, 140 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
  6. James Cook, Buffalo Bills: 4 catches, 150 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
  7. Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams: 4 caches, 142 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
  8. De'Von Achane, Miami Dolphins: 5 catches, 110 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
  9. Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas Raiders: 4 catches, 115 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
  10. Javonte Williams, Dallas Cowboys: 4 catches, 110 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
  11. Breece Hall, New York Jets: 5 catches, 120 scrimmage yards
  12. Quinshon Judkins, Cleveland Browns: 4 catches, 130 scrimmage yards
  13. Rico Dowdle, Carolina Panthers: 4 catches, 125 scrimmage yards
  14. Jacory Croskey-Merriss, Washington Commanders: 3 catches, 120 scrimmage yards
  15. J.K. Dobbins, Denver Broncos: 3 catches, 110 scrimmage yards

Matchup to Love: Josh Jacobs vs. Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals may be more competitive than they've been over the past couple of weeks. Cincinnati traded for Joe Flacco earlier this week, and the 40-year-old is expected to start right away.

The Green Bay Packers may not spend the entire game trying to salt it away with Josh Jacobs. However, Jacobs should get plenty of opportunities to shine against a lackluster Cincinnati defense.

The Bengals have actually been average against the run, allowing 4.3 yards per carry. However, they've also surrendered six rushing touchdowns and have allowed opposing RBs to score more fantasy points than any other team.

After logging nine receptions over his past two games, Jacobs carries a high PPR floor into a game that could provide multiple scoring opportunities.

Wide Receiver

3 of 4
49ers Rams Football
Rams WR Puka Nacua
  1. Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams: 10 catches, 112 yards, 1 TD
  2. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions: 8 catches, 118 yards, 1 TD
  3. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks: 7 catches, 120 yards, 1 TD
  4. Emeka Egbuka, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 6 catches, 130 yards, 1 TD
  5. Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears: 7 catches, 110 yards, 1 TD
  6. Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals: 6 catches, 112 yards, 1 TD
  7. Drake London, Atlanta Falcons: 6 catches, 110 yards, 1 TD
  8. Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams: 6 catches, 108 yards, 1 TD
  9. George Pickens, Dallas Cowboys: 6 catches, 105 yards, 1 TD
  10. Deebo Samuel, Washington Commanders: 7 catches, 125 yards
  11. Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs: 6 catches, 105 yards
  12. Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers: 6 catches 103 yards
  13. Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos: 6 catches 100 yards
  14. Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers: 4 catches, 60 yards, 1 TD
  15. Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins: 6 catches, 95 yards
  16. Garrett Wilson, New York Jets: 6 catches, 94 yards
  17. Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals: 5 catches 99 yards
  18. Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers: 6 catches, 87 yards
  19. Stefon Diggs, New England Patriots: 5 catches, 92 yards
  20. DK Metcalf, Pittsburgh Steelers: 5 catches, 89 yards

Matchup to Love: Puka Nacua at Baltimore Ravens

Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua has been simply phenomenal this season. He's averaging over 10 receptions and 117 yards per game. This week, he'll face a Baltimore Ravens defense that has surrendered the second-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.

The one knock on Nacua throughout his career has been his lack of touchdowns. He has just two this season and only 11 in 33 career games.

The Ravens, however, have given up 13 passing touchdowns through five weeks.

The only real concern for managers here is the fact that the Rams could run away with the game and pull away from the pass. Lamar Jackson continues to be sidelined by a hamstring injury, which means Baltimore could struggle to keep pace on the scoreboard.

Tight End

4 of 4
Cowboys Jets Football
Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson
  1. Tyler Warren, Indianapolis Colts: 9 catches, 98 yards, 1 TD
  2. Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals: 7 catches, 77 yards, 1 TD
  3. Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys: 7 catches 58 yards, 1 TD
  4. Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers: 6 catches, 62 yards, 1 TD
  5. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions: 5 catches, 57 yards, 1 TD
  6. Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills: 5 catches, 56 yards, 1 TD
  7. Hunter Henry, New England Patriots: 4 catches, 49 yards, 1 TD
  8. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs: 7 catches, 79 yards
  9. Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons: 6 catches, 69 yards
  10. Darren Waller, Miami Dolphins: 6 catches, 68 yards
  11. David Njoku, Cleveland Browns: 5 catches, 61 yards
  12. Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders: 5 catches, 59 yards

Matchup to Love: Jake Ferguson at Carolina Panthers

Tight end Jake Ferguson has become an integral piece of the Dallas Cowboys' passing attack while CeeDee Lamb has been sidelined. He's caught a whopping 27 receptions for 171 yards and three touchdowns over the past three games alone.

This week, he and the Cowboys will face a Carolina Panthers defense that has surrendered the second-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season.

Ferguson's floor should remain high in any game that sees the Cowboys passing frequently. With a bad defense and against a Panthers team that has been formidable at home, this should be one of those.
