The Philadelphia Phillies are making the viral "9-9-9" challenge more achievable and accessible for their fans this postseason.
On Friday, the official MLB X account posted a photo of the 9-9-9 Challenge Box that the Phillies are offering fans at concession stands during the playoffs:

The box features nine hot dogs and nine beers, both of which are much smaller than the usual serving size, plus a scoreboard to track progress.
Over the past several years, the 9-9-9 challenge has been a popular trend among ballpark goers with the goal of consuming nine hot dogs and nine beers over the course of a nine-inning game.
In addition to the 9-9-9 Challenge Box, the Phillies showed off several other playoff menu items as well.
They include pierogi poutine, stuffed turkey egg rolls, a dulce de leche and apple cider donut shake, and a color-changing, baseball-bat-shaped beer cup:
Playoff baseball has become something of an annual tradition for the Phillies in recent years.
They are making their fourth consecutive playoff appearance this season after having previously missed the playoffs 10 years in a row.
At 96-66, the Phillies had the second-best record in the National League this season, and they won the NL East for the second consecutive year, earning them a first-round bye.
What awaits is the most difficult National League Division Series matchup imaginable, as the Phillies are set to face off with the reigning World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Dodgers made quick work of the Cincinnati Reds in the National League Wild Card Series, and they enter the NLDS with momentum on their side.
Although the Dodgers won it all last season, the Phillies have experienced their fair share of playoff success over the past few years as well, reaching the World Series in 2022 and the National League Championship Series in 2023.
The best-of-five NLDS between the Phillies and Dodgers starts Saturday with Game 1 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
