Mariners' MLB Playoff Schedule Could Alter Seahawks' Kickoff Times at Lumen Field

Zach BacharSep 27, 2025

The Seattle Mariners' 2025 MLB postseason run may impact future Seattle Seahawks home games.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Seahawks could push back the start times of "at least" one and "possibly" two home games that might occur on the same night as Mariners home postseason contests.

Per Schefter, the infrastructure of the area around the Mariners' T-Mobile Park and the Seahawks' Lumen Field isn't designed to support two games played at the same time.

The Mariners clinched the American League West on Wednesday and are now set to host an AL Division Series matchup. While the team's exact postseason schedule hasn't been finalized, there's a chance that a home game can coincide with two future Seahawks contests.

Seattle's NFL team will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 5 at 4:05 p.m. ET before it'll welcome the Houston Texans to Lumen Field on Oct. 20 at 10 p.m. ET.

Meanwhile, the Mariners will be hosting Game 2 of the ALDS on Oct. 5 and a potential Game 7 of the AL Championship Series will take place on Oct. 20.

MLB officials aren't expected to reach a decision regarding the start time for the Mariners' Game 2 ALDS matchup in Seattle until Friday, per Schefter. If both games are scheduled to occur simultaneously, the Seahawks' kickoff might be pushed back anywhere between 90 to 150 minutes.

As the Seahawks attempt to build upon their promising 3-1 start to the 2025 season, their upcoming home schedule is in flux.
