Texans Insiders Stress Patience Amid 0-3 Start to 2025 NFL Season, 'Give it Time'
The Houston Texans, who have won back-to-back AFC South titles, have started the season 0-3 thanks largely to the NFL's worst offense (league-low 12.7 points per game).
Dianna Russini of The Athletic wrote about that start Saturday and noted that some insiders believe it's best to "give it time."
"I've been told 'give it time' by many close to the situation, but it's hard to ignore that the Texans rank dead last in offensive success rate, which is somehow worse than the Giants. Worse than Joe Flacco-led Browns. Worse than the Titans (who the Texans play Sunday)," Russini wrote.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
There's no better time than Sunday to get this offense going, and if the Texans don't, it's fair to start sounding alarm bells.
The Titans have lost 17 of their last 20 games dating back to the beginning of the 2024 season. They're 0-3 this year and sport the league's No. 30 scoring defense (31.3 PPG).
Tennessee's defense has struggled mightily in the last two games, giving up 33 points against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2 and 34 against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3.
As far as Houston goes, the Texans simply aren't making big plays, especially through the air. Wide receiver Nico Collins is the only pass-catcher who has 100 or more receiving yards through three weeks (14 catches, 181 yards, two touchdowns). Quarterback C.J. Stroud only has 599 passing yards and two touchdowns on the season.
The Texans also haven't scored 20 or more points in any of their games this year. They also haven't allowed more than 20 points in any game in 2025, and yet they're still winless.
Houston will aim for an offensive resurgence (and a win) on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET at NRG Stadium.
