Dak Prescott Says Jerry Jones Will 'Stir It Up' so Cowboys Are 'A Soap Opera'
This is Dak Prescott's 10th season as the starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, so he certainly knows what to expect when it comes to team owner Jerry Jones.
"(Jerry Jones) said it, it's going to be a soap opera, and if it's not, he's gonna do something to stir it up," Prescott said in an interview with Fox's Erin Andrews. "That's something that I've known, which should allow you to block out the noise and focus on your job and what you can do."
There has been no shortage of drama in Dallas of late, as Jones gave Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb new contracts ahead of the 2024 season and was firmly in the spotlight ahead of the 2025 campaign with the Micah Parsons situation.

Rather than give Parsons a new deal, Jones provided plenty of comments and quips to the media before ultimately trading the star pass-rusher to the Green Bay Packers.
Whether it was repeatedly calling Parsons "Michael" or suggesting the trade was the best way to maximize Prescott's chances at a Super Bowl, Jones made headlines that extended beyond the trade itself.
It once again put plenty of focus on the Cowboys going into a new season, which might be difficult to deal with for some starting quarterbacks. But this is business as usual for Prescott, and he looked more than comfortable while leading the team to its first win of the 2025 campaign last Sunday against the New York Giants.
He went 38-of-52 for 361 yards, two touchdowns and one interception while keeping pace with Russell Wilson in an offensive showdown.
As long as he continues to play like that, Cowboys fans likely won't mind a few extra Jones headlines as the "soap opera" continues.
