Week 3 Fantasy Football Rankings, Matchups We Love and Box Score Stats Projections
Week 3 got underway on Thursday night with an AFC East showdown between the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills. We're still two weeks away from byes, though, so managers have a full 15 games to climb out of any early holes.
The challenge will be finding the right matchups to exploit in Week 3, a task made more difficult by the NFL's latest rash of injuries.
Here, you'll find point-per-reception rankings and box score predictions for the top remaining plays of Week 3, based on Week 2 results, past performances and any other team-specific factors.
You'll also find a more in-depth look at the best matchups of the week.
Quarterback
1 of 4.jpg)
- Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens: 238 passing yards, 3 TDs, 58 rushing yards
- Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles: 219 passing yards, 3 TDs, 45 rushing yards
- Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys: 311 passing yards, 3 TDs, 10 rushing yards
- Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs: 225 passing yards, 2 TDs, 40 rushing yards
- Drake Maye, New England Patriots: 220 passing yards, 2 TDs, 40 rushing yards
- Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 240 passing yards, 2 TDs, 20 rushing yards
- Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers: 210 passing yards, 2 TDs, 30 rushing yards
- Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals: 200 passing yards, 2 TDs, 30 rushing yards
- Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers: 200 passing yards, 2 TDs, 10 rushing yards
- Jared Goff, Detroit Lions: 210 passing yards, 2 TDs
Matchup to Love: Dak Prescott at Chicago Bears
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott isn't the high-end scrambler that some other top signal-callers are. However, he should find himself near the top of the points list this week thanks to a stellar matchup.
The Cowboys are set to visit the Chicago Bears, who allowed more fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks than any other team through the first two weeks.
Prescott is coming off of a 361-yard, two-touchdown performance against the rival New York Giants, and he could have a similar stat line this week. Dallas' defense is suspect enough that Prescott could find himself engaged in an offensive track meet for the second straight week.
Running Back

- Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons: 6 receptions, 176 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
- Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers: 7 receptions, 150 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
- Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts: 4 receptions, 140 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
- Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions: 5 receptions, 120 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
- Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles: 4 receptions, 125 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
- Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens: 2 receptions, 132 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
- Bucky Irving, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 6 receptions, 124 scrimmage yards
- Travis Etienne Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars: 5 receptions, 126 scrimmage yards
- Josh Jacobs, Green Bay Packers: 2 receptions, 130 scrimmage yards
- Chase Brown, Cincinnati Bengals: 4 receptions, 109 scrimmage yards
Matchup to Love: Jordan Mason vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Minnesota Vikings backup Jordan Mason may not crack the top 10 this week, but he's an excellent play for managers who scooped him up early—Mason is still available in over 20 percent of ESPN leagues, by the way.
The Vikings recently placed starting back Aaron Jones on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, which opens the door for Mason. This week, Minnesota will host the Cincinnati Bengals, who are once again struggling defensively.
The Bengals have surrendered the third-most fantasy points to opposing RBs this season. With Joe Burrow out for Cincinnati and J.J. McCarthy out for Minnesota, the Vikings may look to grind the game out with Mason and the ground game.
Wide Receiver
3 of 4.jpg)
- CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys: 9 receptions, 170 yards, 2 TDs
- Malik Nabers, New York Giants: 8 receptions, 160 yards, 1 TD
- Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals, 10 receptions, 140 yards, 1 TD
- Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams: 10 receptions, 138 yards, 1 TD
- Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions: 7 receptions, 152 yards, 1 TD
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks: 7 receptions, 148 yards, 1 TD
- Drake London, Atlanta Falcons: 7 receptions, 143 yards, 1 TD
- Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings: 6 receptions, 129 yards, 1 TD
- Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams: 6 receptions, 111 yards, 1 TD
- Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears: 6 receptions, 109 yards, 1 TD
Matchup to Love: Rome Odunze vs. Dallas Cowboys
Bears wideout Rome Odunze has already supplanted D.J. Moore as Chicago's top wide receiver. The second-year Washington product leads Chicago in targets (20), receptions (13), receiving yards (165) and touchdowns (3).
Odunze is becoming a weekly must-start, and he should really shine this week against Dallas. The Cowboys have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers, and the stage is set for a back-and-forth offensive battle.
With DaRon Bland (foot) banged up and Micah Parsons long gone, Chicago should be in store for its best passing game of the season. Odunze will take advantage.
Tight End
4 of 4.jpg)
- Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals: 7 receptions, 112 yards, 1 TD
- Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders: 8 receptions, 82 yards, 1 TD
- Tyler Warren, Indianapolis Colts: 7 receptions, 77 yards, 1 TD
- Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints: 6 receptions, 69 yards, 1 TD
- Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs: 7 receptions, 82 yards
- Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions: 7 receptions, 79 yards
- Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys: 6 receptions, 69 yards
- Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders: 6 receptions, 67 yards
- Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons: 6 receptions, 62 yards
- David Njoku, Cleveland Browns: 5 receptions, 66 yards
Matchup to Love: Juwan Johnson at Seattle Seahawks
Juwan Johnson is looking like the veteran breakout tight end of 2025. He's become a focal point of the New Orleans Saints' offense under Kellen Moore and has already racked up 13 catches for 125 yards and a touchdown. He's logged at least nine targets and five receptions in each contest.
This week, the Saints will visit the Seattle Seahawks, who have been vulnerable to tight ends this season. No team has allowed more fantasy points to the position.
While second-year quarterback Spencer Rattler could have his fair share of issues on the road in Seattle, Johnson's production should remain steady. He'll be targeted early and often as Moore looks to get Rattler into a groove.
