NY Rangers Unveil Centennial Uniforms for 2025-26 NHL Season in New Photos
The New York Rangers unveiled the special jerseys they'll wear in 2025-26 to celebrate their centennial season in the NHL.
The team opted for a lighter shade of blue to match the initial color scheme on the crest. The red-and-white striping on the sleeve and all-white "Rangers" across the chest resembles the design from 1926-27.

The date of the Rangers' first game (Nov. 16, 1926) is also inscribed on the inside collar. Bill Cook scored the only goal as New York beat the Montreal Maroons 1-0 inside Madison Square Garden.
New York will wear the centennial sweater for its opening game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Oct. 8 and on nine other occasions to coincide with its yearlong celebration of Year 100.
Across eight different games, the Rangers will celebrate legendary players and detail their franchise history.
"The Centennial season promises to be a special year for everyone associated with the New York Rangers — the players, front office, staff, and, of course, our loyal and passionate fans," general manager Chris Drury said. "Wearing the Rangers uniform is an honor and privilege unlike any other in the National Hockey League, and that is because of the legacy that has been created here over 100 years. We all can't wait to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime season."
The Rangers' throwback-inspired jerseys, however, will include one notable anachronistic feature.
On Tuesday, New York announced a jersey patch deal with Game 7, its first such sponsorship. Game 7's logo is stitched into the right shoulder of the centennial sweater.
