The Masters will now have three broadcast partners starting in 2026, with Prime Video joining ESPN and CBS Sports in airing golf's premier event.

Fred Ridley, chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament, announced on Tuesday that Prime Video will air two hours of coverage from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET during the first and second rounds of the 2026 tournament.

This marks a notable break from how Augusta National Golf Club has allowed broadcast partners to air coverage of the Masters.

Traditionally, Augusta National hasn't allowed television coverage during the first two rounds of the tournament to start in full until 3 p.m. ET.

In recent years, ESPN's early-afternoon coverage has included things like SportsCenter at the Masters that allows the network to do live look-ins at players mixed in with a traditional episode of its flagship show.

This year saw ESPN's coverage expand to include four hours of coverage on its streaming site from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET. Fans could watch online from a selection of four featured groups per day, as well as featured holes.

Tuesday's announcement continues Prime Video's expansion into live sports that really began when the NFL sold its Thursday Night Football package to the streamer.

Prime Video also has global rights deals with the NBA starting this season and WNBA. The Masters marks the first major golf tournament that will air on the streaming service.

ESPN will still maintain broadcast rights for the first two rounds of the Masters from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET. CBS will continue to air the final two rounds of the tournament, as it has since 1956.

The 2026 Masters will take place from April 9-12. Rory McIlroy is the defending champion after defeating Justin Rose in a playoff to win the green jacket for the first time in his career and become the sixth golfer in history with a career Grand Slam.
