Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce's Wedding Reportedly Won't Be a 'Spectacle'

Kansas City Chiefs tight end and pop star Taylor Swift plan to keep the details of their upcoming wedding "more private" than their viral engagement announcement, a source told People.com's Rachel DeSantis.

"It will definitely be a private affair and not a spectacle. They both have a close circle of friends, and they'll respect their privacy," the source told DeSantis.

Swift and Kelce shared the news of their engagement in an Aug. 26 Instagram post captioned, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."

The engagement announcement came two weeks after Swift announced the name and cover of her 12th studio album, "The Life of a Showgirl," on the New Heights podcast hosted by Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce.

Kelce proposed to Swift shortly after the episode finished filming, according to Page Six's Eileen Reslen.

Swift and Kelce have been dating since at least 2023. The pop star was in attendance both for the Chiefs' Super Bowl LVIII victory over the San Francisco 49ers in 2024 as well as the team's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX last February.

Kelce is currently playing in his 13th NFL season and the final year of his current contract with the Chiefs. He recorded two catches for 47 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs' Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paolo, Brazil.
