Micah Parsons' Packers Contract Tops Patrick Mahomes, More Stars After Cowboys Trade
The Green Bay Packers wasted little time making Micah Parsons the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL after swindling the Dallas Cowboys, signing him to a four-year, $188 million extension.
In terms of annual average value ($47 million), the deal ranks 12th in the NFL, per Spotrac, topping superstars like Patrick Mahomes ($45 million), T.J. Watt ($41 million), Ja'Marr Chase ($40.2 million) and Myles Garrett ($40 million).
Tops on the list, ironically, is Cowboys' quarterback Dak Prescott ($60 million), who largely landed on such a massive number because the team didn't proactively extend him and instead drew out those negotiations, eventually eroding their leverage.

Sound familiar?
The Cowboys will console themselves with the two first-round picks and veteran defensive tackle Kenny Clark. It probably says a lot about Parsons' value to a team, however, that the Packers were willing to give up that haul and sign him to such a massive deal.
That all of this happened says a lot about the Cowboys, too.
