Projecting the Most Likely Heel and Face Turns at WWE Clash in Paris 2025

Kevin BergeAug 28, 2025

The summer of WWE is coming to an end, and with the changing of the seasons, Clash in Paris will look to move the company into a new direction for the rest of 2025.

Sunday would include one of the final matches of John Cena's career, facing Logan Paul, as well as a Fatal 4-Way for the World Heavyweight Championship.

The Women's Intercontinental Championship was on the line as Nikki Bella challenged Becky Lynch.

Roman Reigns looked for revenge against Bronson Reed, and Sheamus and Rusev hoped to settle their issues in a Good Ol' Fashioned Doonybrook.

These were not the most exciting matches on paper but could set the stage for important moments to change the direction of WWE going forward.

Would certain stars change their direction in Paris? Could fans see a major heel or face turn on Sunday that would get everyone talking?

The following are the most likely heel and face turns to come out of Clash in Paris.

Heel: LA Knight

1 of 4

The Fatal 4-Way for the World Heavyweight Championship has stacked the deck against the champion Seth Rollins.

Especially with Roman Reigns separately contesting Bronson Reed on the same night, Rollins will only have Bron Breakker that can truly even the odds against LA Knight, Jey Uso and CM Punk.

The best answer could be for Rollins and Paul Heyman to turn a star against the other talent in the ring.

While Jey showed a more aggressive focus at the end of Raw, he is too popular to truly turn heel.

Rollins has made it clear that his goal is to send The Best in the World packing for good. They will likely never work together.

The Million Dollar Megastar though has limited experience with Rollins. Both his matches with The Visionary have ended inconclusively.

Knight seemingly injured Rollins at Saturday Night's Main Event, but it was a ruse to set up The VIsionary's cash-in of the Money in the Bank briefcase.

When The Million Dollar Megastar challenged Rollins for the world title, Punk got involved, causing a disqualification in the favor of the champion.

Knight could very well have more gripe with his fellow challengers than the champion himself, accepting an offer to protect Rollins for a future solo title opportunity.

Even if it does not happen at Clash in Paris though, Knight could turn heel in the preceding weeks because of what happens at this show, particularly because of Punk.

Heel: Sheamus or Face: Rusev

2 of 4

While Sheamus and Rusev are both great in-ring competitors, they need to do more than just deliver a good match to sell fans on their feud at Clash.

WWE could be setting the stage for these two veterans to work together again after this show, taking on the role of hard-hitting veterans trying to elevate the roster through violence.

That is a dynamic that has worked for The Celtic Warrior before, forming The Brawling Brutes with that focus.

Meanwhile, The Bulgarian Brute has indicated that he is looking to test and remake the modern WWE roster, yet he has found resistance in a veteran he is struggling to beat, Sheamus.

These two make more sense together than apart, and it would be easy for Sheamus to simply realign with a former ally to keep them both on television.

Perhaps this result would at least get fans anticipating what these men will do next.

Heel: Bayley

3 of 4

Becky Lynch has sent Bayley down a dark path since she attacked her at WrestleMania and took her title match.

However, despite her reasonable anger, The Role Model has found it difficult to get her revenge. In particular, Lyra Valkyria has gotten in the way.

While there is no guarantee that The Valkyrie will even appear in Paris, The Man will defend her Women's Intercontinental Championship.

Bayley could make her return with the intention of costing Lynch the title, or she might just cost Nikki Bella that title shot instead.

All signs point to The Role Model coming back as a heel and feud with Valkyria. However, there is little reason Lynch and Nikki cannot also get involved.

Bayley vs. Nikki would be a great establishing match for a more aggressive heel Role Model, and The Role Model ultimately working with The Man would be more interesting than continuing their rivalry from here.

Face: Tama Tonga

4 of 4

While Solo Sikoa and MFT are not booked for Clash in Paris yet, they will be in Lyon, France on SmackDown where Sami Zayn will challenge Sikoa for the United States Championship.

If that title match goes sour, possibly with an inconclusive finish, WWE may put MFT on the Paris card in some capacity.

In that case, it could be a perfect chance for Tama Tonga to return if he is healthy to add a fresh face to the stable battle on SmackDown.

Tama and Tonga Loa are brothers that have often teamed together in their careers, but right now, MFT needs rivals over more allies.

Tama could genuinely get over in a big way if he were to turn face and aligned with Jacob Fatu, Jimmy Uso and Zayn.

It could even set up the first true dramatic story for the Tonga brothers as they figure out what side they should truly support.
