AEW's Swerve Strickland Posts Photo After Undergoing Surgery for Knee Injury

AEW Superstar Swerve Strickland will be out of the ring for a while.

Strickland posted a photo on Instagram revealing that he underwent successful knee surgery to repair his torn meniscus:

Strickland wrestled Kazuchika Okada for the AEW Unified Championship at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view this past Sunday. He came up short, and he suffered a post-match beatdown by Okada and a returning Wardlow, seemingly writing him off AEW television for the time being.

A former AEW World Champion, Strickland is one of the company's most popular wrestlers. While his absence will open the door for a new contender to step into the main-event picture, fans are surely already counting down to his eventual return.
