It's been a steady ascent for Goff as the Lions have become one of the top teams in the NFC. He wasn't on the top 100 in 2022 coming off his first season in Detroit.
Goff appeared on the list at No. 66 in 2023 after the Lions closed the 2022 campaign with eight wins in their final 10 games, capped off by eliminating the Green Bay Packers from playoff contention in Week 18 in what turned out to be Aaron Rodgers' final game with the Packers.
Last season was the best of Goff's career, as he led the Lions to a 15-2 record. He finished with 4,629 yards and 37 touchdowns. It was his second consecutive season with at least 30 touchdowns passes. He only had 30 touchdowns once in his first seven seasons.
Goff is the sixth member of the Lions to make the top 100, joining Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs, Aidan Hutchinson, Kerby Joseph and Sam LaPorta.
Warner has been the highest-ranked off-ball linebacker on the top 100 every year since 2023.
The 49ers star has arguably been the best player at his position since 2020. He has made the All-Pro first team four times in the past five seasons, including each of the previous three years.
It looked like Warner was going to hit another level early in the 2024 season. ESPN's Bill Barnwell noted he led the league with three forced fumbles and picked off two passes in nine attempts in which he was the nearest defender through the first four games.
Warner did slow down as the season went, later revealing he had been playing through a fractured bone in his ankle suffered in a Week 4 win over the New England Patriots.
Even with the injury affecting his ability, Warner still finished with 131 combined tackles, five tackles for loss, seven pass breakups and four forced fumbles.
