Bills HBO 'Hard Knocks' 2025 Best Fan Tweets, Memes from Episode 4
"There's a tension in the air."
The fourth episode of the latest edition of HBO's Hard Knocks, which is chronicling training camp and preseason for the Buffalo Bills, made it perfectly clear Tuesday what time it is on the NFL's calendar.
With cuts looming, every rep in practice took on extra meaning for those fighting for roster spots. The coaches stressed how important the week was as it built toward Tuesday's cut day when Hard Knocks notables such as K.J. Hamler, Mike White, Jimmy Ciarlo, Frank Gore Jr. and Zach Davidson were released.

But not everyone had to worry about cuts.
Josh Allen has been a central figure throughout the Hard Knocks season, and Tuesday's episode introduced fans to biometrics expert Chris Hess. Hess has helped Allen throughout his career and said the quarterback has progressed from a chucker to a thrower to a passer.
"Chris has honestly changed my life in terms of how I threw the football," Allen said. "He knows what I've looked like at my best, he knows what I've looked like at my worst."
But it was only a matter of time before players on the roster bubble were back under the spotlight in the latest episode. That meant Hamler talking to the audience about his pericarditis diagnosis from earlier in his career, Davidson explaining his love of bike riding, Ciarlo talking about the importance of his relationship with his father and Gore thriving in the team's spelling bee.
Casey Rogers, who is another player who was released Tuesday, also stood out for his work helping with foster dogs when he wasn't at practice.
Another notable moment came when basketball Hall of Famers and limited Bills partners Tracy McGrady and Vince Carter offered advice to head coach Sean McDermott. Something they said must have clicked, as Buffalo earned its first preseason win with a victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
While Allen and the majority of the starters didn't play so the coaching staff and front office could evaluate those on the roster bubble, the Bills at least ended their preseason on a high note.
Still, the Bills ended their preseason on a high note, and all eyes now turn toward the Sept. 7 season opener against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens even if some of the players featured on Hard Knocks won't be on the roster.
