Deion Sanders Reacts on Video to Shilo Sanders Being Cut from Bucs' Roster
Colorado head coach Deion Sanders reacted to his son, safety Shilo Sanders, being released from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week.
"I'm proud of my kids, all of them. And I've prepared my kids for anything and everything that can possibly happen. In life, and in sports," he told reporters Tuesday. "That's part of fathering, that's part of parenting, that's part of having a relationship. He is, mentally, where he needs to be. Physically where he needs to be. We're praying he gets another opportunity to go with a team. But if he doesn't, the plans have already been put forward to what he's going to do next. Shilo's a man of many talents, I don't know if you guys know, he's a man of many talents. He's gonna be straight. All the Sanders are gonna be straight, with or without football. You better believe that."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Shilo Sanders was always a long shot to make Tampa's roster after joining the team as an undrafted free agent. He didn't help his cause after he was ejected in the team's final preseason game for throwing a punch at Buffalo Bills tight end Zach Davidson during the second quarter.
"You can't throw punches in this league," Tampa Bay coach Todd Bowles told reporters after the incident. "I mean, that's inexcusable. They're going to get you every time. Gotta grow from that."
It's possible that he'll still have a future in Tampa Bay, however.
As Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported, "We're told that the Buccaneers enjoyed having Shilo in the building, viewing the son of Deion Sanders as a good kid, who was at all times respectful to everyone. Shilo was also immediately remorseful following the incident that disqualified him from the second quarter of the game against the Bills."
A return to the Bucs would come as a member of the practice squad, however. If he picks up with another team, it likely would be in that same scenario.
As for his brother, Shedeur Sanders, he is set to be the third quarterback on the depth chart for the Cleveland Browns after Joe Flacco was named the starter, fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel the backup and Kenny Pickett was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders.
