Jauan Jennings, 49ers Reportedly Not 'Happy' amid Rumors WR Wants New Contract
The San Francisco 49ers and wide receiver Jauan Jennings remain without an agreement amid ongoing contract negotiations, Tim Kawakami reported Tuesday for the San Francisco Standard.
"I don't think either side has ruled out anything. I don't think either side is happy," Kawakami wrote.
Jennings is heading into the final season of the two-year, $15.4 million deal he signed with the 49ers in 2024.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported in July that Jennings wanted "a new contract or a trade" before the 2025 season.
Jennings has not participated in 49ers training camp or preseason activities since leaving practice on July 27 with a calf injury.
The injury marked the second calf issue of the offseason for Jennings, who also suffered a calf injury during OTAs earlier this summer, the San Francisco Chronicle's Eric Branch reported at the time.
When asked earlier in August if Jennings sitting out of practice had anything to do with the team's ongoing contract negotiations, head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters, "You can ask him that, but he tells me it's his calf, and the calf shows."
In a more recent update, Shanahan told reporters that the 49ers expected Jennings back in time to open the season on Sept. 7 against the Seattle Seahawks, but that "you never know with calves."
Kawakami reported on Sunday that the 49ers are considering placing Jennings on IR, which would sideline him for at least the first four games of the regular season, due to the combination of his calf injury and contract stalemate.
Missing out on the start of the season could further reduce how much Jennings will make last season.
In addition to a $1.5 million bonus if he plays at least 50 percent of his team's offensive snaps, Jennings could make an additional $2 million if he hits minimums of 60 receptions, 600 receiving yards and six touchdowns, per Spotrac.
Being given 14 games or fewer to hit those milestones would make reaching the bonuses more difficult in Jennings, who is coming off a breakout 2024 campaign in which he played 73 percent of offensive snaps while recording a career-high 975 receiving yards in 15 contests.
Jennings may risk missing out on $3.5 million in bonuses, while the 49ers could chance losing Brock Purdy's top target just after designating him a franchise quarterback with his five-year extension earlier this summer, should the contract stalemate and injury issues drag on into the season.
