Shedeur Sanders Says He 'Obviously' Feels Like He'll Make Browns Ahead of Roster Cuts
Shedeur Sanders isn't worried about his status on the Cleveland Browns' 53-man roster after the team's preseason schedule came to an end with a 19-17 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday.
Sanders told reporters that he "obviously" feels like he belongs on the Browns' roster following the game.

Sanders also discussed his training camp performance and preseason action.
"Overall, camp was great," Sanders said, per Zac Jackson of The Athletic. "Learning every day."
"Lot to improve on," he added. "Those sacks today were definitely on me."
It doesn't seem like roster cuts will impact Sanders, as Browns general manager Andrew Berry confirmed that he'll make the team along with Dillon Gabriel, Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett.
The 2025 fifth-round pick appeared in the second half against Los Angeles, completing three of his six pass attempts for 14 yards. He was also sacked five times, losing 41 yards in the process.
Sanders missed Cleveland's second preseason contest due to an oblique injury, but looked much better in a 30-10 win against the Carolina Panthers on Aug. 8.
He finished 14-of-23 for 138 yards and two touchdowns without tossing an interception.
Even though Sanders was a Day 3 draft pick, he could still become the Browns' long-term starter under center.
Flacco already earned Cleveland's first-team job to open the regular season, but the 40-year-old veteran is only playing on a one-year deal. Pickett's contract also runs out at the end of the 2025 season, leaving Sanders and Gabriel as potential future options at quarterback.
With the Browns coming off a 3-14 finish last season, they could look to build around their younger players if they can't get off to a strong start during the upcoming year. If that's the case, it's understandable that they wouldn't want to part ways with the 23-year-old Sanders.
Still, Cleveland will need to cut its roster down to 53 players by Tuesday's deadline at 4 p.m. ET.
