Fantasy Football 2025 QB, RB, WR, TE Rankings and Top Sleepers
The secret to winning any fantasy league is not just acquiring as many top players at a given position as possible, but also doing a deeper dig and finding the sleepers in later rounds who can breakthrough and become significant contributors from week to week.
Ahead of the 2025 fantasy season, where stars like Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Saquon Barkley, and Ja'Marr Chase will shine, find out where they rank among their peers at their position and which sleepers are worth taking a risk on in the back end of your draft.
Quarterback Rankings

The top 10 signal callers this fantasy season are:
- Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
- Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
- Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
- Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders
- Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
- Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
- Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
- Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers
- Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
Sleeper: JJ McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings
A pass-first offense, arguably the best wide receivers of his generation, and a strong set of skill players make the Vikings an ideal place for a second-year quarterback, who has yet to take a snap that counts in the NFL, to thrive.
It also is the perfect recipe for a young quarterback to emerge as a breakout, sleeper.
In his first preseason game in his rookie season, McCarthy showed flashes of the potential he has as the lead signal-caller for Minnesota, completing 11 of 17 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns.
Injury cost him that campaign and in his first game back, another preseason appearance, saw him go a forgettable 1 of 4 for 30 yards, with no scores.
Still, there are enough playmakers for him to distribute the ball to and help speed up the learning curve. Expect a strong season from the Michigan product, one that gets better as it goes along and potentially lands McCarthy in the top 10 or 15 quarterbacks in the league by year's end.
Running Back Rankings

The top 10 running backs this fantasy season include:
- Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons
- Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions
- Christian McCaffrey, San Franciso 49ers
- Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles
- Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens
- Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas Raiders
- Josh Jacobs, Green Bay Packers
- Bucky Irving, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams
- Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts
Sleeper: Jordan Mason, Minnesota Vikings
Mason was a stud for the San Francisco 49ers a year ago, replacing the injured Christian McCaffrey before getting hurt himself. He was among the best fantasy backs in the league over the first five games of the season, finishing with 120 scrimmage yards and averaging 5.1 yards per carry.
Minnesota traded for him, signed him to an extension, and clearly has expectations for him to be a contributing member of the offense beyond backing up veteran Aaron Jones.
Given the potent offense employed by head coach Kevin O'Connell, there will be opportunities for him to provide fantasy value both as a handcuff for Jones but more importantly, on his own both as a runner and pass-catcher.
Wide Receiver Rankings

The 10 best options at wide receiver this fantasy season are:
- Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals
- Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings
- Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions
- CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys
- Nico Collins, Houston Texans
- AJ Brown, Philadelphia Eagles
- Brian Robinson Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars
- Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams
- Malik Nabers, New York Giants
- Drake London, Atlanta Falcons
Sleeper: Ricky Pearsall, San Francisco 49ers
Pearsall capped off his rookie season by catching 14 passes in the final two games, tallying 210 yards and two touchdowns. It was a sign of things to come for the University of Florida export, who enters this year in an offense missing Deebo Samuel (traded to Washington) and without Brandon Aiyuk (PUP list).
He averaged 17.6 and 11.5 yards, respectively, in those two games and ranked in the top 15 at his position. Given the lack of other targets not named George Kittle to start the season, do not be surprised to see Pearsall explode out of the gate an become a must-start option for fantasy managers.
The young receiver will continue to develop on-field chemistry with quarterback Brock Purdy and become an even bigger part of the 49er offense.
Tight End Rankings

The 10 best tight ends for managers to choose from are:
- Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders
- Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals
- George Kittle, San Franciso 49ers
- Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions
- TJ Hockenson, Minnesota Vikings
- Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens
- David Njoku, Cleveland Browns
- Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs
- Evan Engram, Denver Broncos
- Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles
Sleeper: Tyler Warren, Indianapolis Colts
There is reason to be somewhat concerned about the value of the rookie Warren given the questions at quarterback facing the Colts. With that said, Evan Engram had some of his best seasons with Jones at quarterback in New York, catching 124 balls for 1,268 yards and six touchdowns in 30 games.
Those are not mind-blowing numbers but they do suggest that the tight end position is a favorite target of Jones'. Considering Danny Dimes got the nod as starter in Indianapolis, and the inconsistencies that have existed within that wide receiver corps, there will be opportunities for Warren to thrive both down the field and as an option out of the backfield.
Will he be Brock Bowers good? Probably not, but the first-round pick should still have a good enough season at a position without a ton of depth that fantasy managers will not regret picking him up as a TE1 in their draft.
