Fantasy Football 2025 Sleepers to Target and Possible Team Names for Your Squad
It's close enough to the start of the 2025 NFL season that the fantasy football community has said plenty about this year's player pool.
We're here to add to the discourse with some last-minute advice on potential sleepers.
There are reasons, which we'll get into, to believe that the following three players—one at each of the marquee positions—will return profits on your draft-day investment in them. After spotlighting the sleepers, we'll close with a quick list of our favorite team names.
Quarterback: Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars

Things haven't gone exactly according to plan since the Jaguars made Lawrence the top pick of the 2021 draft, but he might be simply taking the longer road to fantasy relevance.
He's been fine-ish so far (63.3 percent career passer with 69 touchdowns against 46 interceptions in 60 outings), but his natural talent says he could be phenomenal. And maybe the Jaguars just gave him the tools needed to make that leap by bringing in a new coach (Liam Coen, who oversaw Baker Mayfield's 2024 breakout) and a dynamic pass-catcher (No. 2 pick Travis Hunter).
It's sink-or-swim time for Lawrence, but we're willing to wager he'll stay afloat. The Hunter-Brian Thomas Jr. tandem could be one of the best pass-catching combos in the league, and Coen will position Lawrence to take advantage of the playmakers around him.
Running Back: TreVeyon Henderson, New England Patriots

Part of the Patriots' plan to help out young quarterback Drake Maye this offseason was improving the roster around him. And part of that strategy involved spending a second-round pick on Henderson, who already looks like one of the most electric players in the rookie class.
Henderson, who kicked off his preseason with a 100-yard kick return, pairs elite burst with high-end receiving ability, giving him ample three-down potential. He could tussle for touches with veteran Rhamondre Stevenson early on in the season, but Henderson is talented enough to grab hold of the starting gig and never let it go.
His fantasy stock is climbing, but it's still nowhere near his ceiling. If he maxes out his potential, he'll be found on a lot of fantasy league-winning rosters.
Wide Receiver: Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals

It's funny to think Harrison's rookie year didn't live up to the hype when his first NFL go-round featured triple-digit targets, 62 receptions, 885 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. This was a really good start, even if fantasy managers who expected greatness felt a little let down.
Could that greatness be coming in his second campaign? It's certainly possible.
His physical ability is elite, his route running is precise and his connection with quarterback Kyler Murray should be improved after spending a full season and another summer together. Harrison's post-hype appeal is real and spectacular.
