28. Tristan Wirfs, OT, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

27. Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Detroit Lions

26. Zack Baun, LB, Philadelphia Eagles

25. Danielle Hunter, DE, Houston Texans

Baun wasn't a full-time starter in any of his four seasons with the New Orleans Saints, who took him in the third round of the 2020 draft. Of his 62 appearances there, only 14 were in a starting capacity.

The Eagles signed him to a one-year deal worth $3.5 million, and that proved to be a shrewd piece of business.

Baun finished with 151 tackles, 3.5 sacks, one interception and five forced fumbles in 16 appearances. He was a Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro while finishing fifth in the Defensive Player of the Year voting.

Philly general manager Howie Roseman is one of the NFL's best executives and even he didn't foresee Baun making this kind of impact.

Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said the GM "had a vision for him as a backup outside linebacker/special teams demon," per CBS Sports' Jeff Kerr. Fangio was more sold on the 28-year-old as an inside linebacker, and the results speak for themselves.

Few players were a bigger surprise than Baun, who was rewarded with a $51 million contract this offseason.

Hunter likewise got a big payday. He and the Texans tacked another year onto his deal, so he stands to make $35.6 million in 2026.

The five-time Pro Bowler had 12 sacks and 17 tackles for loss, and he ranked first in ESPN.com's pass-rush win rate. It was the sixth time in eight seasons his sack total it double digits.

As a whole, Houston fell short of expectations in 2024 despite returning to the postseason and beating the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC Wild Card Round.

The offense regressed, which resulted in the firing of offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik. The defense ranked sixth in yards allowed but a more pedestrian 14th in points allowed.

Hunter at least did his part to make the Texans a contender and they'll hope he can remain at an elite level in 2025.
