Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce's '1587 Prime' Steakhouse Reveals Opening Date in Video

You might not be able to play football like Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

But you can eat like them fairly soon.

The pair of Kansas City Chiefs stars are opening 1587 Prime Steakhouse, and the restaurant's opening date of Sept. 17 was announced on Instagram Tuesday. What's more, Chiefs fans will have the opportunity to start booking reservations starting on Aug. 20. 

The Sept. 17 opening date just so happens to be Mahomes' 30th birthday.

TMZ Sports noted the restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Loews Kansas City Hotel and is just eight miles away from the home of the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Mahomes and Kelce also tried the menu themselves and appeared to like the combination of beef, salad, cheeseburgers and cocktails.

Mahomes and Kelce will surely be looking to celebrate plenty of wins this season at 1587 Prime, and it wouldn't be a surprise if a certain musician superstar who is dating the tight end made an appearance at some of those celebrations.

And there have been plenty of wins to celebrate of late, as Kansas City has been to five of the last six Super Bowls and brought home three Lombardi Trophies during that span. Yet it is coming off a Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles with the 2025 campaign approaching.

Its road to the next Super Bowl starts Sept. 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
