Daniels' touchdown run was set up by a pair of big runs, the first of which was a 19-yard scamper by Deebo Samuel.
Chris Rodriguez followed Samuel's run with a 40-yard run of his own.
Washington has even more reason to be excited about its ground attack thanks to the emergence of Jacory Croskey-Merritt, who ran in Washington's second touchdown.
The Commanders stole the headlines from the Bengals, who went down the field and scored on their first drive on a one-yard run from Chase Brown.
Joe Burrow went 9-for-14 with 62 yards and a touchdown. Burrow's passing touchdown allowed the Bengals to tie the game at 14-14.
Daniels and the Commanders finish up preseason on Saturday against the Baltimore Ravens, while Burrow and the Bengals close up on Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts.
