Colts Reportedly Feel Tyler Warren Can Replicate Brock Bowers' Rookie Impact
The Indianapolis Colts have high expectations for rookie tight end Tyler Warren.
According to ESPN's Ben Solak, the Colts believe that Warren can lead the team in targets in the same way that All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers did for the Las Vegas Raiders during his rookie season in 2024.
"There is no hiding the excitement in Indianapolis for having a legitimate talent at tight end for the first time in years," Solak reported Monday.

Indianapolis selected Warren with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft out of Penn State.
He wrapped up an impressive 2024 campaign with the Nittany Lions before entering the draft, as his 104 receptions led all Big Ten players and his 1,233 receiving yards were the second-most in the conference.
Warren also operated as a threat in Penn State's rushing attack, picking up 218 yards on the ground while averaging 8.4 yards per carry. He ended the year with 12 total touchdowns and finished No. 7 in Heisman Trophy voting.
The 23-year-old has already earned praise from Colts head coach Shane Steichen in training camp.
“I think his physicalness that he brings, obviously watching him in live action last week was phenomenal — just the way he lowers his shoulder in the open field to get those extra tough yards,” Steichen told reporters on Aug. 10 (h/t Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk). “The physicality he brings to our football team is going to be phenomenal for us.”
It'll be an impressive feat for Warren if he can match Bowers' impact, as the former Georgia standout caught 112 passes for 1,194 yards and five touchdowns last season with the Raiders.
Indianapolis feels that he's capable of doing so.
