Paige Bueckers Scores 18 in Wings' Loss as A'ja Wilson Leads Aces to 7th Straight Win

Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings fell 106–87 to the red-hot Las Vegas Aces on Sunday on the road, despite the No. 1 overall pick scoring xx points in the loss.

Bueckers added five rebounds and four assists on 8-of-18 shooting. Forward Maddy Siegrist contributed 23 points and six rebounds as the Wings dropped to 9–26 on the season.

Despite the loss, the 2025 No. 1 overall pick is continuing to shine, coming off a milestone performance in Friday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks. Bueckers recorded her 143rd assist of the season, setting the franchise’s single-season rookie assist record. She also became the fastest rookie in WNBA history to reach 500 points and 100 assists.

Meanwhile, the Aces extended their win streak to seven games, led by 34 points from former MVP A’ja Wilson. Kierstan Bell added 18 points and six rebounds, and Chelsea Gray chipped in 10 points as Las Vegas improved to 21–14  and jumped into fourth place ahead of the Phoenix Mercury.

Bueckers got the scoring started for the Wings, finishing with four points in the first quarter. Siegrist kept Dallas close with nine points in the opening frame, helping the Wings stay within reach as they trailed by just four heading into the second quarter.

Dallas managed only 17 points in the second, struggling to contain the Aces’ dynamic duo of Wilson and Gray. Las Vegas poured in 24 points in the quarter, with Wilson entering the half with 18 points and Gray adding 10. Bueckers and Siegrist each had 11 points at the break, but the Aces held a 55–44 lead heading into halftime.

Bueckers added four points and Siegrist contributed eight in the third quarter as the Wings battled to a 22-point frame. But the game slipped away in the fourth, as Dallas couldn’t overcome its early deficit. Bueckers and Siegrist were pulled with 2:30 remaining in the blowout.

The Wings will travel to Los Angeles to face Cameron Brink and the Sparks on Wednesday.
