Fantasy Football 2025 First-Round Mock Draft, Projections and Top Team Names

Erik BeastonAug 17, 2025

Who is the No. 1 pick who all fantasy managers should target at the top of their drafts this year?

As opposed to other seasons, where running backs dominated the early rounds, the increased role of wide receivers in offenses around the league, and the numbers they are putting up each year, has seen them emerge as legitimate top picks.

Their ability to haul in passes from elite quarterbacks, contribute to the run game via end-arounds, and find the end zone amid increasingly complex and creative offensive schemes makes them every bit as valuable as the best halfbacks.

Which sit at the top of draft order and do they eclipse the best running backs entering the 2025 fantasy season?

Find out in this preview.

Is Bijan Robinson This Year's Fantasy MVP?

Titans Falcons Joint Practice

As Robinson goes, so does the Atlanta Falcons offense.

The team found that out last season, when it struggled early on to find the right role for the second-year running back. Once it finally did, fans and fantasy managers found out how valuable the former Texas Longhorn would ultimately be.

Robinson finished the 2024 season with 304 carries, 1456 yards, 14 rushing touchdowns, 72 receptions, 431 yards, and a receiving touchdown. He concluded the year with 341.7 points in PPR leagues.

Imagine what he can accomplish in a season where he enters with his role clearly defined and a coaching staff that now understands that he is every bit the centerpiece of the offense that many expected him to be right out of college.

Now add to that the fact that he has seen "extended work" with the wide receiving corps and you have a player whose impact on the offensive side of the ball, and in fantasy leagues, will only be greater in 2025.

Barring injury, or a sudden explosion in pass attempts, completions, and touchdowns resulting in an MVP-like season from second-year quarterback Michael Penix Jr., Robinson is the lifeblood of the Falcons offense, and organization, and will have plenty of opportunities to be the No. 1 player in fantasy this season.

Even amid the influx of wide receivers in the top 10.
