Chargers' Quentin Johnston Hospitalized with Concussion After Hard Hit vs. Rams
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston was carted off the field during the team's preseason matchup with the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday.
After a 23-22 loss to the Rams, head coach Jim Harbaugh told reporters Johnston suffered a concussion and was taken to the hospital as a "precaution."

In the first quarter of the contest, Johnston was hit by Rams safety Tanner Ingle while attempting to haul in a deep pass from Justin Herbert and remained on the ground for several minutes (via ESPN's Kris Rhim).
The wideout eventually stood up and walked under his own power, but ultimately left the field on a cart.
Johnston is expected to operate in a large role as part of Los Angeles' passing attack this season after wrapping up a 2024 campaign in which he recorded a team-high eight touchdown catches.
He also hauled in 55 receptions for 711 yards, which marked an improvement upon his 431 yards as a rookie.
The former first-round pick hasn't experienced many availability issues to open his NFL career, missing just two games during his first two years with the Chargers due to an ankle injury.
Until Johnston is able to return, rookies Tre Harris and KeAndre Lambert-Smith are the top candidates to replace him in Los Angeles' first-team offense.
