Fantasy Football 2025 Top Team Names, PPR Rankings and Dynasty Advice
Week 2 of the 2025 NFL preseason is nearly complete, which means teams are in the final stages of preparing their rosters for the upcoming campaign. Fantasy managers are largely doing the same in preparation for upcoming drafts.
While most experienced fantasy enthusiasts are well-versed in the various approaches and strategies for drafting, things can be quite different in dynasty leagues. Managers are still looking for top performers at key positions, but the long-term nature of dynasty leagues places a premium on specific roles and age brackets.
Here, you'll find a look at a few tips for drafting in a start-up dynasty league, updated point-per-reception (PPR) rankings and a few creative team name ideas to pair with that perfect roster.

Dynasty Draft Tips

Managers with experience in season-long redraft leagues should already know the drafting basics. The early rounds are for players who are highly unlikely to bust, while the latter rounds are used to uncover boom-or-bust sleepers, handcuffs and bench players.
These rules apply in dynasty drafts too, but there are some other guidelines to follow and tips to consider.
First, managers should make players on the under side of 30 a priority. This doesn't mean older players like Travis Kelce, Derrick Henry and Davante Adams can't be considered early. However, managers should focus on younger alternatives when filling their first spot at each position.
Ideally, managers should have at least one high-end player at each key position—quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end—who will remain in their playing primes for the next five seasons or more.
Managers should also place a bit more emphasis on quarterbacks and pass-catchers than on running backs, with a few exceptions. High-volume backs who have only a year or two of pro experience—like Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs—are worth a first- or second-round pick. However, the shorter career span of running backs makes the position a bit less valuable, overall, in dynasty leagues.
Managers who do snap up an older player for a one- or two-year window should look to establish younger depth at the same position. It's fine to believe that Kelce can help deliver a fantasy title in 2025, but pairing him with a young tight end, like Chicago Bears rookie Colston Loveland, would be advisable.
Conversely, it's wise to have a proven starter in place to help offset the risk of drafting a rookie highly. Incoming NFL players like Loveland, Cam Ward, Tetairoa McMillan and Ashton Jeanty may be loaded with upside, but they're completely unproven at the pro level.
It's easy to forget that for every Jayden Daniels or Ladd McConkey who becomes an instant fantasy star, there's a Daniel Jones or John Ross who never meets expectations.
