Quinn Ewers Throws 2 TDs vs. Lions as Dolphins Fans Eye QB2 Status over Zach Wilson
After a shaky performance in his preseason debut last week, Quinn Ewers put on a show in a 24-17 win against the Detroit Lions on Saturday.
The Miami Dolphins quarterback threw for 116 yards and two touchdowns on 11-of-17 passing, a major improvement from last week when he completed just five of his 18 passes for 91 yards.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
While the Dolphins' starting quarterback job isn't up for grabs, Ewers is looking to earn QB2 status over Zach Wilson. Fans think he's capable of doing so after Saturday's performance.
Wilson finished Saturday's contest with 151 passing yards and a touchdown on 15-of-23 passing. The former second overall pick spent the 2024 season with the Denver Broncos before signing with Miami this offseason.
While it's just one game, Ewers showed plenty of promise against the Lions and might force the coaching staff to consider him for the role of QB2. The seventh-round pick will look to use the remainder of training camp to show that he's worthy of backup duties.
