Falcons' Nathan Carter Says Lions' Morice Norris is in 'High Spirits' After Injury
Atlanta Falcons running back Nathan Carter said Detroit Lions safety Morice Norris was in "high spirits" during a conversation they shared this week.
"He's doing well, and that gives me a lot of encouragement," Carter said after Friday's 23-20 loss to the Tennessee Titans, per ESPN's Marc Raimondi. "I think the biggest thing was that the fact that he was all right and that he was doing good, and also just being able to understand that it was a football play and that, at the end of the day, my performance relies not on me trying to perform for others but me doing it for the Lord. So I was really honing in on my faith and helping that be my peace today."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Atlanta's preseason opener against the Lions came to an abrupt end in the fourth quarter after Norris was taken off the field in an ambulance. He went to tackle Carter when his head hit Carter's right leg and jerked backward.
After the game, the Lions said Norris was in stable condition and had movement in all of his extremities. He posted a day later on Instagram that he was "all good."
By Monday, Lions head coach Dan Campbell said Norris was back with the team, albeit in the NFL's concussion protocol.
The 24-year-old is entering his second season in the league. He signed with Detroit as an undrafted free agent out of Fresno State and made two appearances as a rookie.
