Carter, the No. 3 pick of the 2025 draft out of Penn State, made his debut in a Giants uniform during Saturday's preseason opener against the Buffalo Bills.
The rookie took two pass rush snaps against four-time Pro Bowler Dion Dawkins, who has allowed just 56 pressures over his last two seasons, per The 33rd Team. He took another snap matched up with third-year guard O'Cyrus Torrence.
Carter managed to successfully pressure the quarterback on all three snaps, per PFF.
Carter said after the game that he "had fun" but wished he had "got to play a little more," per Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post.
If Carter's early success against Bills veterans is any indication, it won't be long until he gets both increased playing time and his first NFL sack as the Giants prepare to open the 2025 season on Sept. 7 on the road against the Washington Commanders.
