Paige Bueckers Scores 16 as Wings Beat Aliyah Boston, Fever with Caitlin Clark Out

It was nearly a collapse for the ages.

The Dallas Wings nearly squandered a 67-55 third quarter lead but emerged with an 81-80 victory over the Indiana Fever.

The teams entered halftime tied at 42 but a 25-13 run in the third quarter helped push the Wings to a large lead. Indiana pushed back in the fourth but a late two-point shot from Kelsey Mitchell did not fall to secure the victory.

Rookie guard Paige Bueckers had a notable day, scoring 16 points with eight assists, five rebounds and two steals in 35 minutes. She shot 6-of-19 overall, 0-of-4 from three-point range and was a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line.

Other notables for Dallas included Maddy Siegrist, who led the team with 22 points, Li Yueru, who had 20 points off the bench and Myisha Hines-Allen, who had eight points and nine assists.

Notables for Indiana included Mitchell, who finished with 24 points, Aliyah Boston, who had 14 points and Natasha Mitchell, who contributed 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Dallas improved to 9-24 with the win while Indiana fell to 18-15. This was the final game of the season series between the two teams, which Indiana won 3-1.
