NFL Reportedly Reviewing CeeDee Lamb-Ref Collision, Cowboys WR Could Be Fined
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb avoided a serious injury when he and an official collided on the sidelines during Saturday's preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams, but he reportedly might not avoid a financial punishment.
"The league is reviewing it to see if there will be a fine that's necessary," ESPN's Adam Schefter reported during a Monday appearance on The Pat McAfee Show (8:50 mark).

The collision occurred on a strange play in the second quarter as Lamb signaled in celebration as fellow wide receiver Jonathan Mingo broke free from the Rams' secondary.
Lamb was standing in the white paint on the sideline, and the official was tracking the play on the field and did not see him before running straight into the four-time Pro Bowler and delivering what proved to be a blindside hit.
Fortunately for the Cowboys, their star receiver got up and was seen laughing about the entire ordeal with his teammates.
Still, he was assessed a 15-yard penalty for sideline interference:
For his part, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer was less than thrilled and didn't find it as amusing when he told reporters, "Just like the pre-snap penalties, that penalty, we've got to be better with discipline. I hope the guy's OK. I think he's OK, the official that he ran into, but we have to be better than that. CeeDee knows better. We know better."
Lamb took to social media and reacted to the play by writing, "I feel like everyone needs a laugh."
It was one of the more notable moments from the game that Los Angeles won 31-21. Stetson Bennett IV threw two touchdown passes for the victors in a game that didn't feature many starters or key players for either team.
Lamb avoiding injury was more important than the result of a preseason contest for the Cowboys seeing how he is the clear-cut No. 1 option in the aerial attack and coming off a fourth straight season with more than 1,100 receiving yards.
But he might not think the play was as funny if the NFL ends up fining him.
