Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb Reacts to Viral Video of Ref Collision, 'Everyone Needs a Laugh'
Dallas Cowboys star wideout CeeDee Lamb wasn't playing in the team's preseason matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday, but he found a way to get involved nonetheless.
Just... not in the way he would have wanted.
Lamb was called for a penalty after standing in the white area of the sidelines, where players and coaches are not permitted to be during the play, and that caused an official to inadvertently run into him during a passing play.

Lamb was quick to react to the collision on his Instagram account, writing "I Feel like everyone needs a laugh."
The whole point of players like Lamb not playing in preseason games is to avoid injuries ahead of the regular season, so the star wideout taking a blindside shot—even if it was from an official—was hardly ideal. Neither was the penalty he incurred.
He appeared to be fine on the sidelines after the incident.
It's the sort of moment that just seems to perfectly encapsulate the Cowboys at the moment, however. From the controversial hiring of Brian Schottenheimer as head coach and the distraction of the in-season fan tours at the team's facility, to the very public contract dispute between superstar Micah Parsons and team owner Jerry Jones, the Cowboys remain as much of a spectacle as they are a football team.
Headlines are good for business, no doubt, but wins are better. It remains to be seen if this Cowboys team will be more about the latter than the former. Lamb getting injured by a referee wouldn't have helped much in that effort.
