
Alyssa Thomas, Mercury Dominate Fever as Caitlin Clark Remains Out with Injury

An explosive first half paved the way for the Mercury to claim an 95-60 victory over a Caitlin Clark-less Indiana Fever.

This was the ninth-consecutive game that Clark has missed for Indiana. In her absence, the team has gone 5-4.
Phoenix led 47-36 at the half and continued with a 26-11 run in the third quarter to truly put the game out of reach. Alyssa Thomas led the way for Phoenix, recording a triple-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. She also added three steals and was 8-of-12 on shooting and 2-of-2 from the free throw line. This was her third consecutive triple-double.
Other notables for Phoenix included DeWanna Bonner, who had 23 points and seven rebounds off of the bench. Satou Sabally contributed 15 points and eight rebounds while Kahleah Copper had 11 points and six rebounds.
Sophie Cunningham was the leader for Indiana as she scored 18 points. Kelsey Mitchell contributed 12 points while Aliyah Boston had four points and nine rebounds.
The Fever fall to 17-14 with the loss while the Mercury improve to 19-11. Indiana will be back in action on Saturday against the Chicago Sky and hope Clark can make her long-awaited return to the lineup.
