Adam Schefter Breaks Kyren Williams' Rams Contract News on Video During Live Interview
ESPN's Adam Schefter broke news of Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams' three-year extension on Tuesday while he was being interviewed for an episode of The Sports Reporters (46:20 mark).
ESPN's trio of big-time insiders—Schefter, Shams Charania (NBA) and Jeff Passan (MLB)—were speaking with Jeremy Schaap about their jobs and lives, covering a variety of specific topics. Passan was talking about what it's like when you make a mistake and have to offer a mea culpa.

All of the sudden, Schefter's head shifted quickly toward his phone, and the other three men noticed what happened. Focus then shifted to Schefter, who went to work. Schefter initially asked for a pause, but he ended up doing double duty, writing up the tweet with the camera still on him and the focus now on the NFL insider.
At the 49-minute mark, Passan read the tweet.
Williams, who is entering his fourth NFL season, has been a steal after the Rams selected him with a fifth-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft. The former Notre Dame star amassed 1,481 yards and 16 touchdowns for a Rams team that won the NFC West and reached the Divisional round, where they nearly picked off the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles before losing 28-22.
The Rams look strong going into this season, though, and could very well make a deep playoff run. They also have Williams locked in as their RB1 through 2028, as announced by Schefter.
