Ravens, Colts Fight at Joint Practice, Nate Wiggins Reportedly Throws Several Punches
It wouldn't be NFL training camp without some scuffles breaking out at times, and there was reportedly a fight during Tuesday's joint practice for the Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts.
Multiple reports indicated that Ravens cornerback Nate Wiggins was prominently involved, which eventually meant he was forced to watch the remainder of practice from inside the facility.
Colts running back and returner Tyler Goodson was also involved in the skirmish:

Teams often hold joint practices with each other leading up to preseason games, and this one occurred just two days before the Ravens host the Colts in their preseason opener.
That there was a fight in Tuesday's practice is also somewhat ironic since Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh told reporters the plan was to hold just one joint practice instead of two in an effort to avoid such unnecessary physicality.
"We used to do two days, which we kind of moved past that," Harbaugh said. "The second day is just a chippy day—a cheap shot day. (Colts Head Coach) Shane (Steichen) does a great job, [and the] (Washington) Commanders are the same with (Head Coach) Dan [Quinn]. We expect those to be good, clean practices."
Baltimore finishes the preseason with an Aug. 23 game against the Commanders.
Harbaugh also spoke about the fight after practice:
Wiggins' involvement in the fight was notable, as he is someone who could be a defensive leader for the Ravens this season. The 2024 first-round draft pick impressed in his rookie season with 33 tackles, 13 passes defended, a forced fumble and an interception he returned for a touchdown.
He finished 11th in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting and could be in line to take a second-year leap for a Ravens team on the short list of realistic championship contenders.
Perhaps he will need to tone down the chippiness once the games start to count, but he will be under the spotlight throughout the campaign.
Even if he was under the spotlight Tuesday for reasons outside of his excellent play.
