Anthony Richardson, Daniel Jones Both Listed at QB1 on Colts' Unofficial Depth Chart

Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen still isn't tipping his hand when it comes to the team's quarterback battle.

Indianapolis' unofficial depth chart lists both Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson Sr. on the first team.

Jones and Richardson have been sharing reps with the first team during training camp, and neither seems to be distancing himself from the other.

Steichen is planning a similar approach to the preseason.

"One will play a good amount this game and the other will play a good amount next game," he said Sunday without announcing who will get the nod for Thursday's clash with the Baltimore Ravens.

Some fans might be a little worried that Richardson hasn't already opened a lead on Jones. If he has progressed as everyone hoped, then he should be outperforming a quarterback who had a disastrous final two years with the New York Giants.

But this could be a case of a coach making sure the point is fully getting through to a player with something to prove. Steichen may have total confidence in Richardson, yet not want the third-year signal-caller to take his foot off the gas.

The preseason will provide the final say on the matter because everyone will be able to see which of Richardson or Jones is on stronger footing.
