Keenan Allen, Chargers Reportedly Have 'Mutual Interest' In Contract Amid NFL FA Visit
Keenan Allen could wind up returning to the Los Angeles Chargers in free agency.
According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Allen is visiting with Los Angeles on Friday and there's "mutual interest" in a potential contract agreement.
The veteran wide receiver spent the first 11 years of his career with the Chargers before suiting up for the Chicago Bears during the 2024 season.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Allen was dealt from Los Angeles to Chicago in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick during the 2024 offseason, but ultimately wasn't brought back by the Bears after becoming a free agent at the end of his lone year on the team.
The six-time Pro Bowl wideout failed to exceed expectations last season, recording 70 catches for 744 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging a career-low 49.6 receiving yards per game.
Returning to Los Angeles could help Allen look like his former self, though. After all, he racked up 1,243 yards and seven scores in just 13 games during his final season with the Chargers in 2023.
The 33-year-old would also fill a veteran role in a young Los Angeles receiving corps, as Mike Williams retired on July 17.
Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston are expected to remain in their starting roles, while 2025 second-round pick Tre Harris could also start in Week 1. All three players are just 23 years old.
Allen is already a Chargers legend, as he ranks No. 2 on the team's all-time receiving yards leaderboard. He found the end zone 59 times with Los Angeles and crossed the 1,000-yard threshold in six seasons as a member of the team.
If the Chargers are looking to add a depth option that already has some familiarity with Justin Herbert, Allen could be coming back.
