The Mets paid a hefty price for Rogers, but he should immediately serve as one of their top bullpen options moving forward.
He's in the midst of an impressive individual 2025 campaign, owning a 1.80 ERA and 0.860 WHIP. Rogers has also remained consistent in recent years, as he holds a 2.74 ERA since the start of the 2021 season.

He's set to enter free agency at the end of the 2025 season.
It was a busy day for the Rogers family as his twin brother, Taylor, was also traded from the Cincinnati Reds to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday.
As for Tyler, he'll look to help New York fight for the No. 1 position in the National League East. The Mets currently sit at 62-46, holding a narrow lead of 0.5 games over the Philadelphia Phillies for the top spot in the division.

Buttó hasn't looked as sharp in 2025 compared to a strong 2024 season, as his ERA has gone from 2.55 to 3.64. Still, the 27-year-old is an intriguing piece for San Francisco with a career average of 8.8 strikeouts per nine innings.
