Davante Adams Talks Jimmy G, Says 'All of Us Were Pretty Miserable' with Raiders
Veteran wide receiver Davante Adams doesn't look back on his time with the Las Vegas Raiders all that fondly.
Having signed with the Los Angeles Rams, Adams reunited with former Raiders teammate Jimmy Garoppolo. Although the six-time Pro Bowler didn't seem thrilled with how Garoppolo performed in 2023, that's all water under the bridge.
"I love Jimmy. It was never a personal thing," Adams said on Sedano & Kap (via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk). "It's been amazing, we've gotten to catch up and get on the same page. Obviously that was just a dark moment in all of our lives. I think all of us were pretty miserable over there. We kind of caught up and laughed about it, and we've been making plays since we've been here."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Garoppolo isn't slated to be the Week 1 starter while teaming up with Adams this time around. That honor belongs to Matthew Stafford, and Stafford's presence was undoubtedly a selling point behind the decorated pass-catcher joining the Rams.
The 37-year-old signal-caller is battling a back injury, though. For now, he remains on track to open the regular season, but that isn't a foregone conclusion.
Should Garoppolo be pressed into duty, Los Angeles has to feel good knowing his rapport with Adams is already strong.
