Angel Reese Says Return from Back Injury 'Was Rough for Me' as Sky Lose to Mystics
Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese returned to the court Tuesday against the Washington Mystics after missing two games with a back injury. After the team's 103-86 road loss, Reese provided some thoughts on her return (2:35 mark).
"I just try do whatever I can for the team," Reese said. "Like I said, it wasn't great, first game back from (a two-game absence). So, it was rough, rough for me and still figuring it out and getting my groove back. But I think I tried to do as best as I could tonight. Stay out of foul trouble, just not get a tech tonight, and do whatever I can to help this team and stay on the court."

Reese posted 22 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocked shots. The ex-LSU star was just 6-of-16 from the field, although she did make 10-of-11 free throws and led her team in scoring.
The second-year pro did get into some foul trouble, picking up her fifth personal with 3:38 remaining in the third quarter. But Reese returned to start the fourth quarter and avoided a disqualification. She fared well in the final frame, too, scoring seven points and adding two rebounds, two steals and an assist.
However, the 7-19 Sky continue to struggle, losing six straight now. Chicago sits 12th in the 13-team WNBA, and the team has a remote chance at best to make the playoffs.
The Sky will look to break the skid on Friday when they host the Golden State Valkyries.
