After over a year away from the court, Los Angeles Sparks forward Cameron Brink is set to return.

Brink told John W. Davis of the Long Beach Press-Telegram that she plans to play in Tuesday's game against the Las Vegas Aces. It will be her first game since suffering a torn ACL during the 2024 season.

The No. 2 pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, Brink got off to a strong start in her rookie year before she injured her knee on June 18 in a game against the Connecticut Sun. Prior to going down, she averaged 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 2.3 blocks across 15 games.

Brink's injury also kept her out of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, as she was named to the Team USA 3-on-3 team. Without her, Team USA won the bronze medal, while Germany took home the gold by defeating Spain.

The 23-year-old said she's been looking forward to her return to the court for quite some time.

"It means the world," Brink told Davis. "I'm just very excited, very humbled by this experience. It's no easy thing to come back from, so I'm just really excited."

Known as one of the top frontcourt defenders in the league, Brink said she knows it will take some time before her offense is back on track, but she still expects to be effective on the other end of the floor.

"I feel like my defense has always been something I've leaned on, so probably I would say defense. But yeah, just giving myself patience on offense, knowing that it'll come eventually," Brink said. "But yeah, both will need some work."
