Rays Reportedly 'Open' to Yandy Diaz, Brandon Lowe Trades amid MLB Deadline Rumors
With the Tampa Bay Rays slowly drifting out of the playoff race, the team reportedly could move on from two key players ahead of the trade deadline.
Per The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal, "Rays officials began signaling to teams late Friday that they will be open to moving" first baseman Yandy Díaz, second baseman Brandon Lowe and more if the team can't "reverse their tailspin."
Rosenthal also noted that catcher Danny Jansen could be on the list of players the Rays are willing to trade.

Díaz is on pace for a career season, already hitting 17 home runs and 60 RBI with a .287 batting average. The veteran should draw plenty of interest if he's made available. According to Rosenthal, the Boston Red Sox will be among the teams interested if Díaz is on the trade block.
Lowe, a career Ray, is also putting together a strong season, nabbing 19 homers and 50 RBI so far. He's currently on the 10-day injured list with left ankle/foot tendinitis, but that likely won't diminish his trade value too much.
Jansen might not draw as much trade interest as Díaz or Lowe, but his inexpensive contract could be enticing to teams in need of a catcher.
The Rays are 53-51, sitting 1.5 games back in the wild card race, so their hopes of making the postseason aren't completely over. If they can pick up a few wins in the days leading up to the trade deadline, they might approach things differently on Wednesday.
